Precautions during medication ●Lenalidomide is a serious teratogen, and it is absolutely forbidden for pregnant women and women planning to become pregnant. ●Male patients should use condoms for contraception during the entire treatment period, during the suspension of medication, and within 4 weeks of stopping treatment. Male patients should not donate semen while taking lenalidomide. For women: use two forms of birth control measures starting 4 weeks after starting lenalidomide and ending 4 weeks after stopping lenalidomide. ●Lenalidomide has hematological toxicity and venous and arterial thromboembolism. Lenalidomide causes significant neutropenia and thrombocytopenia. Patients should undergo a complete blood count monitoring every 2 weeks during the first 12 weeks of lenalidomide treatment for multiple myeloma, and every subsequent week. Once a month. ●During lenalidomide treatment and within 1 week after stopping the drug, patients should not donate blood. ●Long-term application will increase the risk of second tumors. |
